What is the AnimOasis?
The AnimOasis is a carefully curated library of animation-related bookmarks from all across the web - demos, breakdowns/analysis, industry advice, podcasts, animation tests, demo reels, design theory, character rigs, interviews, workflow advice, etc.
I found myself wanting to gather all the videos and articles I found across multiple websites into one place so I could easily access them later, whether I needed a few quick demos on eye animation or wanted to binge really good animation tests for some much-needed inspiration. After the library quickly grew to around 3,000 bookmarks, I decided to share it with other students with the hopes that it might benefit them as well.
The service I currently use to host my library is raindrop.io, so an account is required to view the library in its most optimal state. That is why I created a shared account for anyone to online to access. Editing is restricted with this account, but there is one folder that anyone can add bookmarks to of which I can later tag and sort into the appropriate folder, that way the library stays consistent to one vision.
I do not claim the credit of the high majority of the content in this library (though, a few of my videos are in it), and all of the content can be traced to its original creators, however, most bookmarks can be viewed directly inside the library.
